Qitaf Guar Factory

With the sole aim of producing high qualities of Guar Gum, Gitaf Company for Producing and Marketing Gums was established in 2010. Starting its activities by establishing Gitaf Factory for Guar Gum in Al Sileet area in Khartoum North; the company produced high qualities of Guar Splits and powder to cater to a number of increasing uses in modern industries including petroleum industries, textile industries, pulp and paper, mining, explosives, water purification, fire extinguishing chemicals, inc and colors manufacturing and also used in food industries some of which are the manufacturing and processing of chilled and frozen foods, breads, pastries and sweets, dairy products, canned foods as well as soft drinks.The Guar Gum is also used in manufacturing of medicines and cosmetics, in addition to being used in managing industrial waste.

A very important by-product is the Guar Meal which is high in protein with 40 to 50%, exceeding the amount of protein found in Soya Beans and Sesame, Guar Meals can be used in producing poultry and animal feed .

The Sudanese market imports most of its Guar Gum needs from abroad with different commercial names, however, with sustainability and adequate amounts producing Guar Gum locally will be highly profitable and offers greater quality.
